A 2018 meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published in Atherosclerosis examined the effects of CoQ10 on patients with cardiovascular disease. Results showed significant improvements in endothelial function and reductions in oxidative stress markers. The study concluded that CoQ10 supplementation could enhance heart health, particularly in patients on statins, by reducing statin-related side effects such as muscle pain and fatigue.
